“Life happens when you’re planning for other things.” — John Lennon
This quote has been my quiet companion across three continents, seven schools, and countless life transitions. Born in Assam, India, I grew up immersed in diverse cultures, cuisines, and perspectives a foundation that would later prove invaluable during life’s unexpected turns.
A Journey of Transformation
My path hasn’t been linear. I’ve worn many hats: an engineer who once considered medicine, a daughter who cared for her cancer-stricken father, a mother guiding her child through depression, and a woman rebuilding her life from scratch in a new country. Each role, each challenge, has been a stepping stone to becoming who I am today.
In 2021, I moved to the United States with my teenage daughter. What followed was a perfect storm chronic health issues, family upheaval, and the deep isolation of starting over without a support system. But this convergence of challenges became the catalyst for my transformation.
Taking Health Into My Own Hands
When conventional medicine offered limited answers for my chronic joint pain, I turned to holistic nutrition. Enrolling at the Institute for Integrative Nutrition, I discovered that true wellness goes far beyond what’s on our plate, it includes our relationships, mindset, environment, and purpose.
Through personal experimentation, I found that eliminating gluten significantly improved my symptoms. That experience fueled my passion for becoming an Integrative Nutrition Health Coach, using food and lifestyle to restore balance and clarity.
Resilience in Action
I’ve always lived with what I call a “ride or die” mindset—facing responsibility head-on, without backing down. When my daughter struggled with major depression, I immersed myself in Dr. Amen’s methods and became a Brain Health Coach to better support her. When my own health hit a low, I committed to a complete lifestyle shift—mentally, physically, and emotionally.
Building My New Chapter
From losing my father at 15 to navigating immigration, separation and then divorce, and empty-nesting all within a single year my journey has taught me that resilience isn’t just about survival; it’s about transformation.
Today, I’m devoted to helping others move through their own health journeys and life transitions with clarity, courage, and compassion. I believe that our deepest growth often comes from our most difficult moments.
I’m still writing this next chapter discovering my evolving identity and sharing what I’ve learned along the way so others know they don’t have to walk alone.
